Love Is Rad LLC operates summer camp program in compliance with applicable local, county, state, and federal regulations governing youth programs.
Love Is Rad LLC is a California Limited Liability Company and maintains appropriate business registration and liability insurance coverage for its programming.
Families are encouraged to read this page carefully prior to registration.
Registration commitment
By registering for a Love Is Rad summer camp, you are reserving a space in an intentionally limited program. Once registration is complete and payment is submitted, your child's space is confirmed.
Registration represents a commitment to the full camp experieince and to the policies outlined below.
Refund Policy
All Love Is Rad summer camp registrations are non-refundable:
Once a child is registered for camp:

No refunds will be issued for any reason

This includes illness, schedule changes, family emergencies, or change in personal circumstances.
This policy exists because:

Camp group sizes are intentionally small

Staffing, materials, and planning occur well in advance

Reserved spaces prevent other families from enrolling
We appreciate your understanding and respect for this boundary.
Switching Camp Weeks
If space is available, families may request to switch to a different camp week within the same summer camp year.
Please note:

Transfers are not guaranteed and depend on availability

Requests must be made in writing

Transfers must occur within the same summer session
No refunds are issued if an alternative week is unavailable.
Cancellation by Love Is Rad
In the unlikely even that Love Is Rad must cancel camp sue to unforeseen circumstances (such as extreme weather, facility issues, or safety concerns), families will be notified as soon as possible.
In this case:

Families may be offered a transfer to another camp week (if available)

Or receive a credit toward a future Love Is Rad Camp, Program or Offering
Refunds are not guaranteed and will be handled on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Love Is Rad.
Nature of Programming
Love Is Rad summer camps are educational, experiential, and recreational programs.
They are not therapy programs, medical services, or mental health treatment.
Specifically:

Love Is Rad does not provide psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, or treatment

Participation in camp does not establish a therapist-client or medical-provider relationship
-
Camps are not intended to address acute mental health needs, crisis situations, or medical conditions.
Parents and guardians are responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate for their child.
Professional Role Disclosure
Tiana Baumsteiger, founder of Love Is Rad LLC, is a certified youth & adult life coach and facilitator. She is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, medical provider, or social worker.
All camp activities are facilitated within a group-based, educational setting focused on personal growth, emotional awareness, and connection.
Health & Safety
Love Is Rad summer camps prioritize emotional and physical safety.
Please note:

Camps are supervised at all times during scheduled hours.

Children must be dropped off and picked up by authorized adults

Love Is Rad staff are not permitted to administer prescription medication unless explicitly agreed upon in writting

Parents must disclose relevant medical condistions, allergies, or support needs prior to camp
Love Is Rad reserves the right to determine whether the camp environment is appropriate for all participants.
Behavior & Participation Expectations
Love Is Rad camps are grounded in respect, emotional safety, and clear boundaries.
Participants are expected to:

Treat peers, staff, and property with respect

Follow camp guidelines and group agreements

Participate in ways that support collective safety
If a child's behavior consistently compromises the safety or well-being of others, Love Is Rad reserves the right to:

Contact parents, caregivers and/or guardians

Require early pickup

Dismiss a participant from the remaining days of camp
In such cases, no refunds will be issued.
Service & Support Dog
Love Is Rad camps may include the presence of Sandler, a registered service dog and emotional support dog.
Sandler's role is to:

Support emotional regulation and grounding

Offer calm companionship when appropriate
Please note:

Interaction with Sandler is optional

Parents must disclose allergies, fears, or sesitivities related to dogs prior to camp

Love Is Rad reserves the right to manage animal interaction to ensure safety
Assumption of Risk
Participation in Love Is Rad summer camp activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Physical movement and play

Outdoor activities

Group interaction
By enrolling in a Love Is Rad summer camp, families acknowledge and accept these inherent risks and agree to participate at their own discretion.
Liability Release
By registering for a Love Is Rad summer camp, parents or legal guardians agree to release and hold harmless Love Is Rad LLC, its owner, staff, contractors, and volunteers from liability for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
This release applies to all activities conducted during camp hours.
Insurance
Love Is Rad LLC maintains general liability insurance coverage appropriate for youth programming and summer camps.
Insurance coverage is intended to support the safe operation of programs and does not replace parental responsibility or supervision outside of the camp hours.
Regulatory Compliance
Love Is Rad summer camps operate in accordance with applicable regulations, including but not limited to:
