About The Work...

What is Love Is Rad?

Love Is Rad is a values-based organization offering camps, coaching, and programs that support emotional awareness, confidence, and connection for children, parents, and families. Our work is relational, experiential, and grounded in respect for each person's pace and readiness.

Is Love Is Rad therapy?

No. Love Is Rad does not provide therapy, clinical treatment, diagnosis, or crisis support. All offerings are educational, experiential, and supportive in nature. Tiana is a Certified Life Coach and Reiki Master Practitioner, not a licensed therapist, psychologist, or medical provider.

What ages do you work with?

Love Is Rad supports:

  • Children, tweens, and teens (through camps, groups, and 1:1 coaching)

  • Parents (through 1:1 coaching and programs)

  • Families (through integrative family coaching and future offerings)

Specific age ranges are listed on individual program pages.

What is your overall approach?

Our approach centers:

  • Emotional awareness and self-trust

  • Clear boundaries and safety

  • Developmentally appropriate support

  • Relationship over quick fixes

We believe growth happens through presence, pacing, and connection, not pressure.

Programs & Pathways...

How do I know which offering is right for my child, myself or my family?

Each page on our site is designed to help you self-select based on readiness, needs, and alignment.

  • Camps are best for group-based growth and connection.

  • 1:1 Coaching is best for individualized, selective support

  • Parent or Family Coaching is best when adults are ready to reflect and lead change

If you're unsure, the FAQ and inquiry forms can help guide the next step.

Do we need to start with a specific program?

No. There is no required sequence.

However, some offerings (such as family coaching) are most effective after individual or parent-focused work has begun.

Can my child or family participate in more than one offering?

Yes, when appropriate. Participation across programs is based on readiness, timing, and capacity rather than automatic progression.

Summer Camps...

What happens at Love Is Rad summer camps?

Our camps blend:

  • Emotional awareness and self-expression

  • Cooperative games and movement

  • Creative activities and reflection

  • Relationship-building and leadership

Camps are structured, supportive, and intentionally paced.

Are camps therapy?

No. Love Is Rad camps are not therapy and do not provide clinical or mental health treatment. They are educational and experiential group programs designed to support confidence, connection, and emotional growth.

What if my child is shy, sensitive, or anxious?

Many children who attend Love Is Rad camps are sensitive, thoughtful, or slow to warm. Participation is invitational, not forced. Camp environments are designed to support different personalities and comfort levels.

What is your refund and cancellation policy for camps?

Camp registration is non-refundable.

If space allows, families may switch to a different camp week within the same summer camp year. Full details are outlined on the Camp Policies & Refund page.

What if my child can't attend a day of camp?

Because camps are immersive group experiences, individual missed days are not refundable or prorated.

1:1 Coaching...

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching focuses on:

  • Awareness

  • Skill-building

  • Reflection

  • Growth over time

Therapy focuses on diagnosis, treatment, and clinical mental health care. Love Is Rad offers coaching only, not therapy.

Do you offer 1:1 coaching for children, parents, and families?

Yes. We offer:

Each had its own scope, readiness requirements, and inquiry process.

How long does 1:1 coaching last?

Coaching is offered in defined containers (for example, a set number of sessions). Length and structure are discussed after an inquiry to ensure fit and readiness.

How do we get started with coaching?

Each coaching option has its own inquiry form. These help determine alignment, scope, and next steps before scheduling.

Pricing & Accessibility...

Why don't you list all pricing on the site?

Some offerings (such as coaching) are highly individualized and capacity-based.

Pricing is shared after alignment conversations to ensure:

  • Appropriate fit

  • Clear expectations

  • Sustainable support

Program-based offerings like camps and series list pricing directly on their registration pages.

Do you offer sliding scale or scholarships?

Accessibility matters to us.

When available, scholarships or adjusted pricing are offered intentionally and are listed on specific program pages or shared directly when appropriate.

What does "accessibility" mean at Love Is Rad?

Accessibility includes:

  • Emotional safety

  • Clear expectations and boundaries

  • Thoughtful pacing

  • Transparent communication

It does not mean unlimited availability or scope beyond what can be responsibly held.

Logistics & Policies...

Where are programs held?

Locations vary by offering and are listed on individual program pages.

Some classes (such as Tween Yoga and Tween Aerial Yoga) are offered in partnership with outside studios, with registration handled directly through those partners.

What about safety and supervision?

Safety is priority across all Love Is Rad offerings.

Programs are age-appropriate, structured, and facilitated with care. Full policies are outlined on the Camp Policies & Safety page where applicable.

Do you work with registered or emotional support animals?

Yes. Tiana works alongside a registered service dog and emotional support dog when appropriate and supportive to the environment,
